When stories of an eccentric bushman reach the ears of Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), she travels to the Australian outback to get an interview for her New York newspaper. After meeting up with so many of the colorful locals, Sue finally comes face to face with Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee (Paul Hogan). In order to impress this beautiful reporter, Crocodile takes her deep into the outback. Several of the things he does to impress Sue are set up with the help of his friend Donk (Steve Rackman) and Sue isn't really sure if the antics of Crocodile are more fiction or fact. Sue invites Crocodile to accompany her back to the states and his take on New York City begins to charm Sue even more. Can this rough bushman charm the uptown girl and win her heart?
